What drives us

learn about me and the band

Blues music and guitar are big passions of mine. Also I love to write my own songs and lyrics.

Blues is a mirror of life, a safe place to reconcile with your soul or to fight for a gasp of air when things seems too much to handle. Blues is about the story told, what it means, what it makes you feel, and in the end it's about being human.

After years exploring music (more "complex" - technically, etc), slowly I humbly went back and surrender to the Blues as a trip back to the womb, where none of those things makes much sense without the bare soul - that's the starting point of it all.

Sure that trough this process we keep trying new stuff. But with that said, we have no problem of going "roots style" when it feels right on that specific song, or if the mood and moment just asks for it. I mean, there's no right or wrong way to convey an idea or story, just the way it feels right to us.

I love to be on stage with my team and some guest friends we end up making as we go. For me I have to have this energy happening live, in every time we play together -on rehearsals, studio and on stage. We love to embrace the risk of improvising constantly to keep things fresh all the time for us and the audience - as it all depends on the nights mood in the rehearsal room, venue or recording session.

Here I share part of this Blues path and passion, and hopefully it resonates with you all.

Right now our team consists on: myself -NUNO ANDRADE- on writing, vocals, guitars and overall production; JORGE DINIS OLIVEIRA on bass, back vocals and extra production.

For drums we work with a few professionals as we go, chosen by specific production/performance needs.

We also work with several extra musicians to fulfil extra needs or to add a little more to the shows/recording sessions as we feel like it.

It's all made under the wing of our great fellows at 081 Productions.

peace

Blues is all about life, and about feel - that's what makes it cool! We don't need to be fancy and complex, as long as we have something to say on every instrument cause they all have a voice, and we put our souls in it. It's about saying something on each note, even on each mistake - it's not just through the vocals.”
